*My uninformed thoughts on
Daoism I figured it came from an Asian/ Chinese culture.
Confucianism, I had never heard of it and had no knowledge on it, same with Jainism.

Daoism does not see gods the same way other religions do. They believe more of seeing gods as enlightened immortals helping and guiding living beings through everyday life. The gods are inspiration towards enlightenment. They also believe spirits had a big part to play in everyday life. Good spirits controlling healthiness, wealth, long life. The Dao is heaven, earth and humanity. It cannot be defined because it exists greater than all forms. They feel a human can include the Dao in their way of everyday life. Living the Dao is the way to heaven. Eliminating everything unnecessary and artificial. Appreciating the simplicity of life and riding anything negative. It teaches you how to get there in your own ways. Being at one with nature, especially. They teach and believe meditation and exercise are forms to practice Daoism. Excepting yourself and your life, Self-happiness.
