Anne Frank is very hopeful the whole play. In the book on page 116 Anne says “I think myself on a walk in park where I used to go with Pim”. Anne knows that she is stuck in the annex. and can’t even go outside to play til the war is over. So she tries to imagine what it would be like if she could go anywhere anytime. Anne is always trying to stay positive about any situation throughout the play. Also on page 38 Anne says “I’d cut my throat! I’d open my veins! I’m going to be remarkable! I’m going to Paris...”.
