GOALS

My goal is to gain 3 pounds of lean mass by the end of next month. As my metabolism is so high, I have to increase my calorie intake drastically. I will try to train at least 3 days per week to maintain a good body composition. In addition, I will try to be on a structured diet in order to get on shape.

EXERCISE BARRIERS Time and travel are my two main exercise barriers. If only one can buy time, as they say Tuesdays and Thursdays are really rough due to class session that ends at 10, which gives me around 5 hours to workout and stick to my diet. It might be challenging but I feel I am very dedicated and able to sacrifice other parts of my daily life to reach my goal. I am planning to travel by mid July for a week which

Cruisers are an eclectic lot. We're a strange mix of business owners, plumbers, homemakers, Vietnam vets, academics, nurses, computer geeks... and the list goes on. What's magical about our chemistry is the fusion of random knowledge, binding us together like a single central nervous system. In addition, we've got grit. And, we needed it all when the strongest cyclone to ever make landfall in the southern hemisphere headed towards Fiji.…

    1. When Ackerman begins by stating that “Love is the great intangible,” she is trying to say that love is the clarity of life. Love in a scenes, is something that has such a strong meaning to us as humans that when it is shown we cannot help but acknowledge its presence. This word however also is a word that we cannot fully understand. In the first paragraph when the author talks about the little girl asking her parent how much they love them, the response of the parent is 100 times the biggest thing we could think of.…

Within this journal, I will be evaluating the themes in To Kill A Mockingbird. To begin, one of the themes displayed in the novel is the coexistence of the innocent and evil. One way the book conveys this is when the evil jury kills an innocent black man, Tom. I say this figuratively because the prison camp actually killed him, but the jury got him there. The jury knew Tom was innocent but back then, blacks were always guilty no matter the situaton.…

    1) I liked how she starts her story with the emotional moment of the accident, that part made me feel dizzy and disorientated like her, at the beginning it was kind of hard to interpreted the text and what was happening at the time. The parts were the police were treating her like an animal really made me mad and I felt a little bit of impotence when hearing about how they waited so long to help her and they hurt her even more. I was actually disgusted but not surprised of the way the police treated her in the hospital, it was to be expected, besides she “killed” one of their own and on top of it she was a woman of color. I admire Assata greatly in this chapter, she is so brave and has a strong will of power, if I were in her place I would have cried and begged since the first punch to the stomach. I can connect the way they treated Assata during…
