The highest case of diabetes as of state basis is in West Virginia with 15% of its population has type 1 diabetes. For all of us who didn’t know, diabetes is standing at 7th place as one of the primary cause of death (aside from cancer) in the United States and can cost billions of dollars for medical treatment each year.

Most processed foods contains high quantity of sweets most especially in candies and processed chocolates. There is a proper amount of sugar that a person should take daily, but if you have diabetes, you should consume less. Some advices goes to all shoppers that mostly don’t like organic foods (for some reasons if they have a busy life or don’t like to go organic), read the label at the back of the product first. A person suffering in diabetes should consult to the doctor for further information about what is the most suitable food to eat. When choosing a processed food to eat, don’t go for the taste. There are a lot of delicious processed food in the market that don’t compromised the taste. However it is still hard to please our tongue, it is more advisable to remember the phrase “prevention is better than cure”.
