Some of the desert’s i'm going to be babbling about is the Great Victoria Desert. This desert is located in Western Australia, and South Australia. The most known desert is the fascinating Mojave Desert. The Mojave Desert is located in the Southwestern U.S. The Dasht-E-Kavir is probably the least known desert, except for the people who live near this unique Desert. Dasht-E-Kavir is found lying in the middle of the Iranian plateau.
The Desert’s receive about 250mm of rainfall per year. Most Deserts are interestingly found around 20 degrees, or 35 degrees north, and south of the equator. Most Deserts are called Aridisols, which means dry soil. In very abundantly dry regions of the Sahara …show more content…
The food chain starts with the plant(cacti), then passes on its energy to the living organism that eats it (rat/mouse). After that step an omnivore(Raven) eats the herbivore(rat/mouse). Lastly a carnivore(fox) will eat the poor omnivore(Raven). Then here comes the circle of life. A animal will die of natural causes, and it will decompose. After this the Food Chain will start all over.
By working on this biome project I learned a lot more about the Desert then I had already had known. For example I learned that only about 250mm of rainfall occur each year in the Desert. I didn’t know that most Deserts are called Aridisols, which means dry soil. That’s a new vocabulary word for me. I never knew about the Dasht-E-Kavir Desert until
