I look across the table at my best friend. The worry on her face is apparent; I know that she is having second thoughts about this wedding. She has been thinking about Jimmy, and I know she misses him.
“Sadie, trust me, you will do great.” I tell her. “There is absolutely nothing to be nervous about.” She runs her fingers through her hair and taps her foot nervously. I walk around the table to stand behind her and fix her now frizzy hair. “You can’t ruin your hair yet. You still have to walk in front of a ton of people.” She quickly turns around and shoots a glare at me. “You aren’t helping!” With a groan, she turns back to the mirror. I giggle and shake my head. “Are you ready to get into your dress yet?” I ask as I point to the pretty

“My name is Brett,” He takes her hand and gives it a firm shake. “It’s nice to meet you…?”
“Sadie! My name is Sadie!” She practically screams in his face.
“Well, it is nice to meet you Sadie-- even under these circumstances.” Brett chuckles and looks down at his soiled shirt.
“I’m really sorry about that. I should look where I am going.” Sadie blushes and looks at the ground.
“Hey, like I said-- don’t worry about it. I have plenty of shirts. I didn’t like this shirt much anyway. You should come sit with me.”
“Umm,” Sadie remembers Kristen, her best friend, still in the bathroom. Probably looking for her by now. “Sure.” Sadie says and walks with Brett back to his seat. Leaving Kristen and Jimmy behind to wonder what happened to her.
3 hours later
I have been sitting in the same spot for an hour. My phone is dead and I have been asked to go home with people more times than I can count. I guess that’s what happens when you sit on the curb in the city.
A car pulls up and I prepare myself for another creep. The car pulls beside me slowly and the window rolls down.
“Well, heyyyyy. Where have you been?” My supposed best friend says to

“Where are we going?” “Brett’s house.” She tells me. I groan and slouch in the seat. Present Day
The music starts playing and Sadie looks beautiful. She is standing at the end of the isle wringing her hands nervously. I smile at her from the front of the room and nod to her that it is time. Brett, who is standing next to me, looks very handsome in his tux and tie. The tie that I tied for him. I smile to myself and Sadie takes her first step. The crowd stands and turns toward her, and my heart is in my stomach. I’m so happy for her and Brett.
She comes up the steps to stand next to Brett and the preacher begins, “We are gathered here today to celebrate the matrimony of Brett Eldredge and Sadie Clark…” I smile and drift off into space.
I zone back in as the preacher says, “... speak now or forever hold your peace.” Somebody from the back row jumps up, and screams, “Stop! I love her!” My heart drops as Jimmy struggles to get out of the pew. The whole crowd gasps as Jimmy falls into the aisle. Getting up, he brushes himself off, pulls a bag off of his shoulders, and pulls something out of the bag. I squint trying to figure out what it is. Holding up the container he walks closer to the front of the
