Independent variable is those who attended the diversity training.
Dependent variables are the cultural competence and workplace conflict.
Control variable is the number of diversity trainings.
Research and null hypotheses
The research hypothesis is that the cultural competence score is related to the respondents attending diversity training. Emily expects to see an increase in cultural competence in the group attending the diversity training compared to the group that did not attend diversity training. Diversity training has an impact on the level of cultural competence of employees. When the hypotheses are tested, the null hypotheses have no statistical difference between the two groups. There is no difference in scoring of cultural competence between who attended the diversity training and between those who …show more content…
Emily expects to see an increase in workplace conflict in the group who did not attend the diversity training compared to the group that did attend diversity training. When the hypotheses are tested, the null hypotheses have no statistical difference between the two groups. There is no difference in scoring of workplace conflict between group one, those who attended the diversity training and between group two, those who did not attend the diversity training.
The independent t-test would be the appropriate t-test to run for this case study. The independent sample t-test is used when there are two groups in the researcher’s sample that are independent from one another and the researcher would like to compare the means for statistical difference.
When the p value is larger than .05 then the Levene`s test has, no significant difference meaning, there is no significant difference in variance between the two groups and the assumption of homogeneity variance is met. Cultural competence p=.427 and workplace conflict
