Defying the odds and accomplishing what you set after to do, or letting the problems overwhelm you and giving up are the results of dealing with adversity. It is up to you to determine what outcome you will have. Adversity simply defined is a difficult situation or misfortune. Adversity often brings out the best in individuals. Also adversity a common source of adversity comes from other people and them trying to hold someone back from their full potential. Dealing with adversity often times brings out the best in someone. They take the situation and instead of letting it control them; they overcome all the obstacles set before them. In the movie “Creed” Adonis Johnson was up against himself, his trainer, his family, the media, and a dangerous undefeated fighter. He struggled to get help to fight because of where he came from. Adonis had issues with himself that he had to deal with before he was able to preserver through everything. After months of vagarious training, Adonis got the opportunity that he had been searching for. He got a fight opportunity with the undefeated champion. Although the fight was only to use his famous name, and he did not win in the end he learned how much potential he really had. According to this article the most common outcome of adversity was to thrive and succeed. Adversity brings out the best in most people. It contained a graph showing the result of thriving compared to the other outcomes (430 O’Leary).
