A leader that I would be honored to work with is Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy’s Restaurants. Thomas created an environment that was customer-oriented, innovative, supportive of children’s charities, and beneficial to employees. He started as a counterman at age 12 and learned the restaurant business from the ground up (Dave Thomas, 2013). When he finally started Wendy’s, he had created a business plan that would set his restaurant apart from all others. This plan included a comfortable, homey environment, fresh (never frozen) and cooked to order food, and efficient service. His goal was to provide customers with a quality experience while adapting to new business demands.
