Dark Matter and Dark Energy

Dark energy and dark matter are commonly found to disprove common knowledge in the world of science but still, these two forces are unknown and untapped. Both dark energy and dark matter are commonly referred to as one another but, in fact they’re different. The two are mostly found together but, dark matter may have been found to be linked to primordial black holes. One may ask, “What is dark matter and energy and how did they get their names?”. How they get their names is simple, they’re dark which means that they’re unperceivable in the forms of energy and matter we’re used to seeing in the universe. On the other hand, what dark matter and dark energy

This is because of it’s even distribution throughout the distance and time amongst space. Gravity doesn’t affect dark energy directly but there are correlations between the two by translation. If we are ever certain on the role gravity plays in the universe, humanity as a whole will be closer to finding out what exactly the enigma of dark energy is. Dark energy and dark matter are based off of uncertainty in the sense; that we cannot identify exactly what they are, if and how we can harvest them, and everything that they can do. A large contributing factor into why dark matter and dark energy aren’t understood is because dark energy is not derived from matter or radiation. Even though dark matter and energy are linked, dark energy does not come from dark matter. The theory of general relativity cannot explain dark energy because it can not be applied to particles as small as atoms which is another reason why dark energy is not fully …show more content…
With the recent discovery of the Higgs Boson, testing has been run at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) by colliding protons together to form a reaction. This has brought up the concern of the possibility of creating dark matter which would not be able to be detected. It is predicted though that the Higgs Boson particle may decay at dark matter. What that means is that the aforementioned particle has the potential to be ineffective in the presence of dark

I recently finished reading a published compilation of essays that you have written called “Death by Black Hole.” Before I read this book, I understood how big the universe was and how dangerous it was to an extent, but after reading this book my horizons have been broadened and I look at things differently than before. After reading your book, I was intrigued by your works and wanted to learn more about the universe. I then proceeded to watch all of the episodes of “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” so I could soak up as much information as possible. Your essays paired with “Cosmos” has changed my worldview entirely.…

In 1964 a physicist by the name of Peter Higgs took some ideas that were floating around at the time, added an insight or two of his own, and proposed that there was an energy field that permeated the entire universe. This energy field is now called the Higgs filed. The reason he proposed this field was that nobody understood why some subatomic particles had a great deal of mass, while others had little and some had none at all. The energy filed that Higgs proposed would interact with the sub-atomic particles and give them their mass. Very massive particles would interact a lot of the field while massless particles wouldn’t interact at all.…

The cold force of Yin created water and its essence created the moon.…

It’s amazing how the same stars we look at today are the same ones, more or less, that all humanity has gazed upon. Plato, Queen Mary, Martin Luther King—the list is endless but these great historical figures have all seen the balls of light and gas that shine in the sky tonight. That’s all they are, floating matter in a vast, unknown space we call “outer space” simply because it resides outside the front door. Space. It envelopes us like an old, soft blanket with moth bites here and stains there.…

Something from Nothing: The Big Bang Even though the equal balance of matter and antimatter created in the beginning of the universe as proposed by the Big Bang theory might have annihilated each other before any stars could form, the inflation model of the Big Bang accounts for the unequal level of matter-antimatter existing today and how stars could form before matter-antimatter reactions destroyed the universe. The existence of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CMBR). is in line with what is predicted by the Big Bang Theory, specifically that the CMBR exists. The expansion of the universe outward also supports the Big Bang theory as the expansion of the universe, just like the expansion of an explosion, reveals that there was…

From the first act of Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, asks "thick night" to come with the "smoke of hell," so her knife won't see the wound it makes in the peacefully sleeping King (1.5.57-58). The darkness relates to the evil or "dark" crime she plans on committing. And then, when she calls for the murderous spirits to prevent "heaven" from "peeping through the blanket of the dark to cry”(act 1 scene 5 line 403-404). Lady Macbeth implies that light offers protection from evil and is the only thing that could stop her from murdering Duncan. So, it's no surprise to us that, when Lady Macbeth starts going crazy, she insists on always having a candle or, "light" about her (Act V scene 1 line 2149).…

Respiratory Therapy began to enter the medical field in the early 1940s. Fast forward a few years and Respiratory Care still remains a relatively new field in the medical industry. Almost all fifty states now require a license or some other form of “other legal credentialing law governing the profession of respiratory care” (Weilacher). A Respiratory therapist by definition “treats people with health care issues affecting the cardiopulmonary system such as asthma, emphysema, pneumonia, cardiovascular disorders, and trauma”. A Respiratory therapist can work in a variety of settings such as the emergency room, intensive care units, and in rehabilitation centers.…
