My steps are firstly analyzing the question asked, secondly ask myself if I have prior knowledge about the question asked (critical thinking) and finally I follow that with, sourcing information and implementing it. When reading the textbook I came across five (5) steps towards making decisions. Step 1: Define the decision clearly, Step 2: Consider all the possible choices, Step 3: Gather all relevant information and evaluate the pros and cons of each possible choice, Step 4: Select the choice that seems to best meet the needs of the situation and Step 5: Implement a plan of action and then monitor the results, making necessary adjustments. (Chaffee, 2009). When I read this I came to the realization that I was not too far off in having the five (5) steps already processed.
