Critical Social Theory In Nursing Research

The Sociology theory that was new to me is Critical Social Theory. This theory uses societal awareness to social inequalities that hinder individuals from reaching their goals. This theory is being used by nursing researches to address the impact of sociopolitical conditions that affect health care. Moreover, researchers used critical social theory to explore other nursing aspects. Lyon (2011) study discussed the lived experience of minority women with HIV. Critical theory was used along with feminism theory to identify women’s perception of their interaction with primary care nurse practitioners (McEwen & Wills, 2014).
Lett (2001) explained the importance of applying chaos theory to nursing practice, research and education. The main principles
