Zeef Cabrita Internet Dependency: A Critical Issue Web addiction is a growing issue with more individuals. The Internet is significantly more open to people now than it was in past. Web Addiction is a behavioral illness that is typically combined with individuals who have mental disarranges, for example, depression, loneliness, etc. The overuse of the Internet or the Internet addiction becomes the serious issue for the lot of the nations. Some individuals get dependent on web based gaming and other social apps which entertain them. Internet Addiction also effects social life of an individual. In my opinion, Internet addiction should be classified as a medical condition because it effect an individual emotionally and cause psychological problems. Most of people their time in suffering on Internet. Web addiction cause physical problems such as depression, anger, dry eyes, backaches, severe headaches, eating irregularities, failure to attend to personal hygiene, and sleep disturbance because they utilize most of their time on Internet. Online gaming cause some dangerous problems because people of all ages try do same actions which they played in video or online games. In 2007 an adult “shot his parents, killing his mother, and wounding father after they look away his Xbox. In same year, a south Korean couple let their real baby starve to death because they were spending so much time caring for their virtual baby in a role- playing game called Prius Online” (Beato 134).
