Criminal Case Study Forensic Anthropology

A forensic Anthropology studies dead bodies and determines who the person is and they determines the cause of the person death. When someone dies they call a forensic Anthropology to finger out why this is person dead. When skeletonized remains are discovered, the first step to determine whether the bones is human remains. If so, the sex, race, age, stature, of the skeleton in order to established the identification of the remains, determine manner and cause of death and, if homicide, forensics can identify the murderer. Phil Barrett stated that ‘’ Fingerprints are mainly relied on for criminal identification, either after being taken by utilizing paper and ink or after relying on a computer database scan. Fingerprints can be used to prove a man or woman’s presence at a crime scene, but it can also be used for comparison with stored fingerprints of other offenders. Comparing fingerprints is based on comparing people’s friction ridges which is what makes up all fingerprints. In the past, analysts had to manually compared fingerprint ridges, but these days, computers are capable of recording and finding any comparable ridges.’’ A simple piece of Hair might be pulled out by the victim in a fight for his or her life. Forensic anthropologist finds the hair important in an investigation because it can provide investigators with invaluable DNA details. Scientist use DNA like comparison microscopy so they can find all like suspects who the hair belong to. This can be information like distinguishing hairs, whether the hair was shed on its own, or whether it was
