Creative Writing: Murphy Where Have You Been Going?

"Murphy where have you been going?"

Murphy looks up at Finn and just shrugs. He figures he doesn't really owe an answer to anyone and especially not Finn. It's not like he's been doing anything wrong lately, if anything he's been looking for Akna these last few days and he hasn't seen a trace of her. He's stuck to his story that he's still trying to find scrap metal and maybe the occasional scavenge but he hasn't shared anything else.

"You leave here everyday at the same time and hardly ever bring back any scrap metal. Is there something you're not telling us Murph?" He hears Finn repeat with a sense of authority.

"Since when did you become my keeper huh Finn?" If I go out there and stay out for a while it's only because I'm trying to clear my head. It's bad enough I have either you or the princess on my ass each waking second." Murphy suddenly snaps with malice.

Clarke, Finn, even Bellamy watch his every movement within the camp no one here trusts him. He won't deny he's done a lot of horrible things such as shooting Reyes, nearly killing Charlotte, beating the shit out of Wells, and the list goes on. Point is he's trying to do better like genuinely better and if it means anything he hasn't done anything bad lately other than the occasional sarcastic comment or snap of defense. He's sick of the constant surveillance and he's sick of the constant put downs, he's gonna be better and he's gonna be a somebody even if it kills

Around halfway through the year, classes became unbearable with the constant, dehumanizing schoolwork. Every assignment tugged and cracked any remaining portion of uniqueness I had left. I felt that the curriculum was intentionally designed to ready us to be a factory worked with a company ID instead of a name, just like the A.T. PERSONAS forced down our throats. Since he subjected me to infernal besiegement on a daily basis, I thought I should pull a prank on my homeroom officer. Every day he would use his superfluous title as ‘officer’ to subject us to his whims, just to inflate his pompous ego.…
