An angry mob takes poor T.J. away to what is most likely his doom. Stacie Logan was not afraid to stay with T.J. even if he could get killed. This was huge because he showed courage towards the white people by staying with his friend even though T.J. was mean to him. “No I will wait here.”, this shows that he would stand by his friend. “Somebody’s gotta stay here case they take T.J. off into the woods somewhere.”, this shows that he would look after his friend.
