College is just not for me I have found out. The cosmetology and interior design job fields are alike because of the creativity state of mind I would be exercising daily, but cosmetology fits my life best when thinking about the future. As I am a pursuing cosmetologist, there are situations that make this career choice easy and others that will make the cosmetologist field hard. My decision to join Millstream Career Center makes extended education after high school so much easier. I will be able to have the same Ohio hair licence that any student from any other beauty school would get before my I would even get my high school diploma. “Any student completing 1,200 or 1,500 hours and passing the exam given by the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology will be licensed to practice in any salon in the state of Ohio and can become employed immediately” (“Millstream - Cosmetology”). As for interior design an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree is a requirement for entry level work (“Interior Design”). As well as classes in psychology and ethics are also necessary, as well as extensive training in computer aided drafting (“Interior Design”). With all the classes needed in this career field, college would be a must. College is something that pushes me away from interior design mainly because of the price and being in debt for years to come, also the time after school. The annual salary could possibly make up for the college debt if I would move to the right city. The top ten percent of designers earned an average of $89,060 in the year 2013 (“Interior Design”). The job can have flexible hours by you setting your own hours (Deborah). Just as Interior design some clients are hard to please and get their understanding. “Budgeting can be hard to try to get the homeowners or office manager to be realistic, so they don't make impulse purchases”
