The conflict of the wall ever since it started in 2003, it has affected the lives of Palestinians severely. For instance, schools were close to where the wall was being built; thus, children were not able to concentrate in school because of the tear gas, and the loud sounds. In addition, Palestinians were banned from their villages and their homes were destroyed. According to the Palestinians in the documentary, Jewish soldiers would go out at night to the Palestinian villages to destroy the olive trees. From 2008 to 2009 the conflict took a brutal route, for instance 5 people died in one year; one of them was killed in a point blank. Furthermore, 17 houses were burned, and, 450 olive trees that were 1500 years old were set on fire. Once the wall surrounded the villages, only old people were allowed to go behind the wall to harvest olive. However, in order to harvest the olive, the old people required to obtain a permit; a permit that was valid for only 5 …show more content…
For instances when British intervened in Iran, and Iraq, it was not to settle there but it was to aid them reach sovereignty and in return, Britain would benefit from the regions resource.
Nonetheless, the conflict over the land has been going for a long time between Israel and Palestine, and it will continue to grow. As it was stated in the documentary by one the Palestinians activist, they will not stop until the wall collapses just as the Berlin wall. Since both regions cannot coexisted, then the land should be taken away from both of them, or at least new laws should be passed that will force the two regions to share the land peacefully.
