Conflict In Freedom Writers

In the movie Freedom Writers, released on January 5, 2007, many conflicts occur in Long Beach, California (“Freedom Writers”). Freedom Writers was directed by Richard LaGravenese. Erin Gruwell, played by Hilary Swank, is a new teacher to Woodrow Wilson Classical High School and is completely unprepared for the classroom (“Freedom Writers”). Hilary Swank adapts to the students and puts them first with all their problems in life. While trying to gain their respect, she tries to get the students more involved with school and to work hard in life. Erin demotes her everything to the students in order for them to have the possibility of gaining more education beyond high school. The students were taught and raised to live by moral codes and to always protect them, even if it meant putting your life in trouble for them. While the students are in class, they don’t show any discipline or obedience towards Erin. The struggle for Erin was that she didn’t have any books for the students to learn. In order for the students to learn, Erin took a part time job to pay for them. She started to stay later after class and the students realized how much she was doing for them. They started to be more respectful to her and didn’t put down education so much. After long days and long nights of trying to figure out a way of getting to the students, Erin finally did. If the relationship someone is in matters, then they’ll do everything to make it last. All it takes is dedication and communication. Yes, it’s okay to sometimes put things that are important before one’s significant other, but when it goes on for weeks on end, it doesn’t help the relationship. To stop such a breakup or divorce, discuss what’s happening in each others lives. It’s very inappropriate for one to do what they blindsiding the significant other by not knowing what’s happening. In fact, there is a strong possibility that the other person will help because he or she cares. In any case, constantly putting them to the side and forgetting about them won’t help anything. So always make sure to talk to one another if the relationship actually means something and everything will be great, but never
