In an American society, there is an idea of dream. Dream is the thing which every one of us need to have. It is our vision. Dream is that what you want to do in future to achieve success in your life. The dream is mainly dependent on settings of one lives and one’s social status. For example, Thomas Jefferson. His American Dream, was to make people free from the British and to be treated equally. Martin Luther King, gave a dream speech call freedom, but mostly for the African American who like himself. Everyone has American Dream, Americans as well as the people who migrated from different countries to the United States. People get better life through hard work and fair ambitious. Likewise, Alberto who migrated from Mexico to United States 12 years ago in terms of better of his future. He got his first job in a Chinese owned factory in Los Angeles. He was paid $2.50 an hour. However, his income was much better than he could earn in Mexico. Also, he struggled a lot and endeavor for getting his first job. American Dream is the dream for Americans as well as Immigrants. People from both the sides are striving hard to fulfil their American Dream. In Addition, based on my American Dream and the article’s (Inequality and the American Dream”) American Dream is same. American Dream is basically the concept of achieving goals and earning a better life through hard work and determination. No matter what may the conditions are and whatever may the obstacles arrive, just keep moving. Every man. regardless of his birth, his shining, golden opportunity is right to live, work and be himself and to become whatever he or she wants (Wolfe 2).
