However, employees have every right to ask you to leave because it’s breaking their rules, but if you refuse, you will be breaking the law because it would be considered trespassing on private property and could send you to jail. Another huge argument that could be brought up is that the prices for food at the concession stand can be ridiculous. Theaters must pay a retail fee for having the movie playing in it’s theater. Tickets alone, can’t pay for the fee and the amount of money it takes to keep a movie theater in business so if snacks weren’t so expensive, the movie theater would be shut down and there wouldn’t be a movie theater to go to. A third argument would be that snacks tend to not be healthy. If it’s a Friday night and you just want to relax and enjoy a movie with your favorite snack, I’m pretty sure most people aren’t worried about how healthy it is. People come to theaters to get a break from stress, not worry about how much sodium is in a large popcorn.
This is why food brought from home should not be allowed in theaters. So stop stealing people's money and making other people uncomfortable by smuggling food into theaters, pay the price for snacks at the concession stand or just don’t get food at
