Reasons Why Concealed Carry Should Be Allowed Anywhere

In society today there are several issues where the majority of the people are divided especially here in America. Several of these issues deal with guns and gun control alone. The people in today’s society do not agree on plenty of issues regarding guns and gun control. One of these issues is about concealed carry and where it should be allowed and not be allowed. Luckily for the people who support the right to legally carry your own gun wherever you are several places in America today have made concealed carry legal. Such as Arizona, Alaska, Kansas, Maine, Vermont, and Wyoming. But to a lot of people this is not enough. Some believe it should be legalized everywhere in America. People who are eligible to carry a concealed weapon should be allowed to carry anywhere they are for their own safety and the safety of others.

Millions of Americans today are fighting to legalize concealed carry all over the country. Those who believe in the right to carry believe that there are plenty of places where guns should be allowed to protect innocent people if something goes wrong. By restricting guns in certain places actually makes it a target for crime. Many people believe that instead of strengthening gun laws it would actually be smarter to create more permissive gun laws for protection since laws will not stop criminals from getting their hands on a gun. This is why “Gun-Free Zones are havens for crime” (Gun Violence). Those who are willing to break the laws against murder do not care about the regulation of firearms and if a criminal knows a place where guns are not permitted then that is where they will go. Some of these so called “Gun-Free Zones” include school’s, office’s where people work, and hospitals. Many people in support of concealed carry in these places say things like, “I just hope someday the legislature allows guns to be carried into their offices” (concealedcarry.org). These places and several others have been specifically targeted by criminals in the past all over the country. For this reason all of them should supply the teachers, employees, and doctors or nurses with guns. Not only would they be protecting themselves they would also be protecting the lives of innocent people. If guns are allowed in these places which they should be as long as they are in the right hands tragedy can and will be prevented. This is what people are trying to say regarding concealed carry in the U.S. To try and promote what could happen or what could be avoided if guns are instituted in these places as well as several others. Another reason why millions of Americans want concealed carry to be instituted all over the country is because they believe they should be able to exercise their right to carry no matter where they are. These millions of Americans actually come from all different age groups. Starting with college students and ending with senior citizens. Students on college campus’ believe that even they should be able to carry a concealed weapon on school grounds which obviously not everyone agrees with. Many people all over the country agree that by allowing students to carry concealed handguns on campus will not increase the risk of danger in any way and that

But why are they spreading this message? What are the benefits of instituting guns all across the county? There are actually several benefits of allowing concealed carry in certain places. One major benefit of allowing concealed carry anywhere is that it would make America safer for a number of reasons. Without guns society would break down into terrifying chaos. Guns give small so called “weaker” humans the ability to better defend themselves against “stronger” people. If guns are taken away from these people there will be nothing but chaos and evil left. Criminals often search for places where guns are not allowed or people who are unarmed, “Criminals feel emboldened when they know their victims will be unarmed; on the other hand, criminals will think more carefully about their actions if they are likely to be shot themselves” (Gun Control-Michael

Just by looking at the overall statistics it gives a better look at how many states actually allow for Concealed Carry. There is a video debate between John R. Lott, Jr., and Julie Gavran, where Lott states that between the years 1987 to 2012, 2.1 million Americans got a permit and between that time only 168 or 0.008% got their hand gun license revoked. This is an important statistic because it shows that in less than a thirty-year span, a small handful of people actually lost their privilege to have a conceal hand gun license…
