They played a large role in developing both Christianity and Islam around the world: “Jesus and the Prophet Muhammad established the world’s two largest religions, Christianity with 2.1 billion, and Islam with 1.8 billion people, together half of the world’s population” (Kole). Their roles were to deliver the message and act it out to the best of their abilities. There was also a coincidence that neither of them wrote down their ideas, but their followers recorded their words that we have today. The pair also talked about the purpose of life; the Prophet Muhammad wanted the people of his land to worship God by praying daily. Jesus wanted our primary purpose to be establishing an intimate relationship with God as well. Not only were there similarities between the Prophet Muhammad and Jesus, but also Islam and Christianity. When it came to heaven and hell they both believed, “Hell is eternal damnation and heaven is the symbol of eternal peaceful life in constant follow ship with God” (Ahemd).
