The hoagie style chicken sandwich may appeal to a person who normally would go to a competing restaurant such as subway. By placing the traditional Burger King style chicken on the sandwich it enables Burger King to maintain its style while still competing with other fast-food chains all while appealing to a larger range of consumers. Showing their app on the front page is also a plus too. This can appeal to a tech savvy consumer. When you have fast-food chains like McDonald’s that offer coupons via their app one may appreciate that another company is doing the same and want to purchase from them, especially when you’re a company like Burger King who offers a more diverse menu than their competitors. The Burger King website is much more bright and colorful giving the user an “upbeat” welcoming feeling. Maggiano’s website is more boring and drab compared to the Burger King website. The images on the Burger King website are more attention grabbing compared to the Burger King one. I feel the website you choose to like is a personal preference. Personally I see the Burger King website appealing to a younger and hip crowd, while the Maggiano’s website, I can imagine would appeal to an older, classier subset. Some viewers may not benefit as well as another from one website over the other because it doesn’t appeal to their taste, as a result they end up not utilizing all the websites available resources. Both restaurants offer goods and services that can both be enjoyable, but the attention grabbers either site uses varies by the users’ preference. One criticism of Burger King’s website I have is that the text is slightly too big and I feel takes up lots of space. Slightly smaller and it would be just right. Despite that, I still prefer Burger King’s bodacious website over the Maggiano’s
