Whitney Houston, the women who inspired others, the women who made breathtaking music, and the women who was loved by many. She was born on August 9, 1963 in Newark, New Jersey. Houston had an amazing childhood and grew extremely close with her family through music. Whitney grew up in a musically inclined background, so she learned to sing at a very young age, and even by the age of 11 she was preforming and focusing on her music career. When Whitney was young her mother taught her to sing and she continued to do it throughout her years in school.
