Comparing American Football, Soccer, And Rugby

Sports have become one of the worlds most interesting and talked about past times. Three of the most exciting and most widely watched sports all over the world are American Football, Soccer, and Rugby. Because of all of the pressure and stress that comes with playing the sport all of the athletes in those sports put all they have into training and making themselves better in the offseason.

The offseason in sports are almost completely different. Some sports work more on speed while others work on getting stronger. But no matter the sport they all work on getting themselves better and improving how they play the game. Arguably the most intense and physically draining post seasons is soccer. Soccers preseason lasts months and sometimes even lasts into the first week of the regular season. Soccer players have to be in the best shape possible when playing the game so they don't injure themselves or pass out on the field. “The first month is meant to help get you into shape and begin developing fundamental speed and agility techniques. Football players lift weights and exercise everyday to increase their speed and improve stamina. In the first few weeks of the pre season football players run drills and practice plays with teammates. Using all of the practice and skills they have obtained in these weeks they then spend the next four weeks playing practice games against other teams in the league. They play these games to figure out who will play and start at what position. Rugby is much the same except they don't have these practice gams they have something they call “Trial tries”. During this time they play games and practice with people that wish to join the team. This is like the NFL combine but its more personal and straight
