The Senate and House of Representative plays vital role in constitution because they both have to approve to make a law in US. Senate is long term than House of Representative, but the member are more in House of Representative. They both have some similarities and some differences, but one thing they both do together is Senate and House of Representative work together for all lawmaking with in the US. Both Senate and House of Representative must approved an identical document for an act of congress. Each state elects two senators for six year terms, but the term of one third of the Senate membership expire every two years, earning the chamber the nickname “the house that never dies.” Election of the senate was indirect by the state legislatures until seventeenth amendment of constitution, however now they are elected directly by voters of each state. The allocation seats of House of Representative is based on the population within the states and membership is reapportioned every 10 years following the every 10 years census. House of Representative has right to initiate impeachment proceedings and to originate revenue bills. Senators originally were elected by state legislatures to six-year terms to maintain their accountability to their states and to buffer them against constant political pressures faced by House members. Ratified in 1913 as a reform, the 17th Amendment reassigned the Senate election process from legislators to citizens at large. While I respect the admirable efforts of Americans of a century ago to expand the reach of democracy, the 17th Amendment unintentionally broke the link between senators and their state government that their offices were designed to…

Senators skillfully crafted legislation designed to resolve sectional conflicts and avoid secession. Through reasoned discourse, the Senate was able to pass key policies that helped the country prosper despite these rising tensions. Congress: A Broken Government Throughout history, scholars, politicians, and the general public have been divided into two separate categories: those who agree that Congress is not a broken government and those who disagree with the former and argue that Congress is a broken government. While many factors point toward either argument, the most prominent answer is that Congress is, indeed, broken. The design of Congress, the founder’s intentions for Congress, and the Washington Establishment are among some of the many reasons that reveal plainly the brokenness of the government and allow others to see the dysfunction of Congress as well. Congress is designed to be made up of two houses: the House of Representatives and the Senate.…
