Firstly revolutions did not change the way people think of others. During the Haitian Revolution, they were trying to get rid of all the different social classes, that were based on race and heritage. Once they gained equality the once superior classes of whites thoughts about them did not change. During the French Revolution, the people killed off King Louis XVI and abolished the position of king. A few years Napoleon, once a general for a French army, crowned himself king. Everything that the people of France worked for to get the hierarchy abolished just crumbled down and there was really no way in stopping another king to come under power. Another example of a revolution weakening a nation politically is during the Scientific Revolution. When science got in the way of the church and the people.
