Beowulf - evil is concurred, then another evil is brought up, then concurred again. Then another evil defeates the conquerer, then a new successors is to take possession.

#Summary
Gawain- leaders were challenged, challenged accepted. Challenge achieved. Gawain waits a year and a day. Looks for his challenger comes upon a nice family that he is accepted in to live with, gifts received and given, magic sash, challenger fails his own challenge, trickery, reveals, forgiven.

Scyld Shefing was the first great king of the Danes, known for fighting enemies and winning. Scyld becomes the great-grandfather of Hrothgar, the king of the Danes. Hrothgar, wishes to celebrate his reign by building a grand hall called Herot. Once the hall is finished, Hrothgar has a feast. It attracts the monster Grendel, who attacks during the night. In the morning, Hrothgar and his thanes find there dead warriors. After twelve years. Eventually the news of Grendel's killings reaches the Geats. A Geat thane, Beowulf, wants to help the Danes; he gets the best Dane fighters. Hrothgar's thane Wulfgar says the Geats are worthy enough to speak with Hrothgar.There's another feast in honor of Beowulf, later at night Grendel arrives at Herot. Beowulf watches carefully as Grendel eats one of his men. When Grendel reaches for Beowulf, Beowulf grabs Grendel's arm. Grendel screams in pain as Beowulf grips him. Soon Grendel gets away, leaving his arm in Beowulf's hands. He goes back to his lair and …show more content…
This Green Knight tells the court that he wants to play a game, in which he and one of the knights present will trade axe blows. The knight will take the first strike, and then he must wait a whole year to receive a strike in return from the Green Knight.

The knights don't say anything but when their visitor mocks them, Arthur steps up. Just as the king readies himself to take his strike with the axe, Sir Gawain stops him and offers. Gawain strikes at the calmly standing Green Knight, and cuts the knight's head off. The knight then picks up his head from the floor and tells Gawain to find him at the Green Chapel before riding away.

Several months pass, at the castle, he meets the lord, who introduces him to two ladies, his beautiful wife and an old maid. The lord invites Gawain to play a game. Each day the lord will go out to hunt while Gawain rests in the court, and by the end of the day, they will swap whatever they have won. It is clear that what there is to be won is the lords beautiful wife. They exchange kisses and what the lord has
