The Common Man opened in 1971 to give American fare a certain appeal that would appeal to the "common man." That means stick-to-the-ribs goodness such as the famous crab cakes and homemade baked macaroni and cheese. There are two separate ways to enjoy the cuisine - the traditional dining room on the main level or the bar and grill with cozy couches upstairs. The lounge area has a wood stove and parlor games for an enjoyable experience at The Common Man.

In addition to a lunch, dinner, grill and dessert menu, there is also a gluten-friendly lunch and dinner menu to assure that everyone finds something to enjoy. Enjoy Yankee favorites, such as New England pot roast or chicken pot pie or try one of The Common Man specialties, namely the steaks
