The game always creates a lot of excitement, making the game that much bigger. Another rivalry college football has, is the Lehigh vs. Lafayette game. The two teams have met in football 151 times (Cwienkala). That is the most times two teams have met in all of football (Cwienkala). The first game was played all the way back in 1884 (Cwienkala)! When one goes to this rivalry, they are witnessing history. No other football league has that kind of history in football. Rivalries are a big tradition in college football, but another big tradition is the mascot. The mascot is part of a team's name. The mascot is in the history of every college team. College football has incredible mascot traditions. A great thing that most college teams have is a live mascot at the games. One mascot tradition at Auburn can not be beaten by any team. Before the kickoff of every game in Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn fans chant "Waaaaar" as a live eagle circles around the field, and when it lands in the center of the field, fans yell, "Eagle!"
