College Admissions Essay: My Passion For Traveling

Life is short, yet many people take it for granted. Life should be spent everyday focusing on your passions. I focus my time on seeking learning opportunities, helping others and travelling. These three passions are vital in my life to sustain my well being. Recently I have discovered my passion for learning, I have been blind to realize how much I appreciate learning and how it fulfills me. In school, particularly the social sciences department engages me. Social science is an interesting subject as it broadens my thought process. Travelling is entertaining, filled with experiences to cherish for a lifetime. I am grateful that I have already encountered numerous trips as a young adolescent. Travelling is fun, as it gives the freedom to explore the unimaginable. Trying out exotic foods, sight seeing, or going rock climbing is an enthralling experience. Also, travelling makes me appreciate different cultures and lifestyles. Whether travelling to different continents or even different cities, the culture and lifestyles are unique. The appreciation gained from travelling often makes people grateful towards who/what they have. It opens people to different values and morals, changing the perspective on how they view the world. However, travelling allows me to cave into the temptation to escape reality. It gives me the chance to unwind and relax. When going on vacation, there is no need to worry about homework and school.
