Most people would say that when Coach Boone came into town it was a wrong thing, from my point it was the breakthrough for a lot of change and progression in town. If it wasn’t for Coach Boone becoming the new coach the town would of never realized the value of teamwork with the football players, the meaning of that it’s just not about race, and leadership. Coach Boone showed all of these traits throughout the movie, and this makes him going and being the new coach a wonderful change in the community. When Coach Boone came into town the football team was not getting along at all. Everyone in the community was against the fact that he couldn’t run the team, and since he was African American no one would respect him. As the movie progressed Coach Boone made the team get to know one another. Making them do drills and taking a long run during the cold morning made them understand that they were a team, not just an individual. Going to camp really made them work as a team and learn the meaning of teamwork. They was forced to put their differences aside and come together, because at the end of the day it was all about what they loved; which was football. When he came there he was making a huge difference in the community. If it wasn’t for him, then the team wouldn’t of been able to get through their differences and come together. He also impacted the older adults in the community. He showed them that even if they did whatever in their power to try to break him he still was going to coach, and that showed courage and dedication that the team needed to see. When he and the other coaches didn’t see eye to eye, he showed them that just because he was a different race, he couldn’t be a good example to the football
