Question 21. What were your feelings after reading the first few pages of the book? What details from the book made you feel that way? When I read the first few chapters of Cress by Marissa Meyer, I was filled with excitement to keep reading; the first chapters were not only continuing the stories of Cinder and Scarlet, but also adding Cress. Since the book splits between two stories, you have twice the anxiousness. The Cress story gives me a feeling of sorrow, where the story of Cinder and Scarlet gives a feeling of anxiety. The author perfectly balanced these two feelings to make the book almost impossible to put down.
