An alliance was created with another company to strengthen and improve performance at Chrysler. Fear was Mr. Marchionne control. The executive staff and Mr. Marchionne had weekly meeting to discuss new ideas and designs. Abiding by the strategic plan that was developed by the CEO the company was able to deliver the desired results with an effective outcome toward their goals. Productivity improved and so did the quality of product. Profits became a reality for the shareholders and the company took on the identity of its leader. The company does not invest into their employees. The style ensures results, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
My recommendation to Machionne would be empower your employees and remove the Autocratic Leadership. When you value your employee’s opinion and ask their thoughts regarding the place of employment you will find innovative ideas. This will change the culture of the company quickly.
