The increase amounts of stress in an unstable environment causes physical effects in adulthood for children. In particular, children whose family structures changes show social instability within their own relationships as adults. Children whom have changes in family structure, in specific with divorces shows long term social instability. In particular because of a parents struggle to maintain a relationship, childrens grow up to show the same effects and cannot maintain stable relationships (Fomby and Cherlin 4). In addition, families financial stability leads to rebellious and grade struggling adults. In “The Negative Effects of Instability on Child Development” A Research Synthesis,” discusses children whose parents are financially unstable, “Among dual-earner families in which mothers earn more than fathers, fathers’ involuntary job loss is associated with a higher likelihood of grade repetition and school suspension and expulsion for school-age children compared to mothers’ job loss (Sandstrom and Huerta 22).
