Leo looked up from untying Nikita and just shook his head at me. He scooped her up in his arms and jogged over to me.
“Is she okay?” I wondered out loud and just received a grunt from Leo. He stared at me for a moment before sighing.
“Can you take her out of here?” He mumbled and glanced over his shoulder. I followed his gaze to see two wolves circling each other. They were pretty quiet, but now that I noticed them, I could hear the low growls.
“What’s going on?” I demanded and started to walk towards them.
“You can’t shift, Aubrey. They probably injected you with the same stuff they did to Copper and Nikita. You are of no help here. I need you to take Nikita to safety. Please.” He made me meet his pleading eyes. After a second longer of watching

True to his word, about two minutes passed and two large wolves came bursting through the brush behind me, making me scream.
Bender shifted and covered my mouth with his hand before I was able to attract any more attention. We didn’t need anyone coming to investigate what was going on.
Once I realized that it was just Bender and Emmett, I relaxed and he dropped his hand from my mouth. A small smile spread across Bender’s face and he pulled me into a tight hug. I sighed into him and felt so suddenly safe, but reality was shocked back into me when I heard a fit of growls and yelp coming from inside.
Bender dropped me and followed Emmett through the door to reveal the scene occurring. There were more wolves now, just as I had suspected.
The wolves that I assumed were Shay and Leo were being closed into the corner by three wolves about the same size as them.
Emmett and Bender jumped into action without hesitating. The both jumped on one of the opposing wolves, giving Shay and Leo a moment to react and attack the last one. I found myself looking away from the fit of violence as they grabbed at each other’s throats, lashed around, and spared no
