The hypothalamus is located beneath the "hypo." which connects the endocrine and nervous system together. This part of the brain is responsible for managing various life-supporting functions such as eating, drinking, and monitoring body temperature. If I damage the hypothalamus, my eating and drinking habits will change because I can not mange my behavior. As a result, I can gain or lose tremendous weight causing my health to deteriorate. Also, this injury can cause me to lose interest in hockey because of my emotions and whether or not I think the sport is worth
