To better understand what this means we must first classify the terms. Academic unpreparedness is directly related to high school students not really preparing for college or students that chose to slack off. I presented factual information that suggests that academic unpreparedness/educational burnout and tuition costs could be responsible for the 50% drop out rate for first year college students. I have given my own opinions about events that I have seen first hand on how easy it is to take the pas-through approach along with issues that suggest the degree in question may not be worth the time and money put in. In my opinion, it would be better to develop a program that stems from the root of the problems caused from high school pass-through to more efficient educational prep time. Students need to stop learning and start thinking for themselves. Students need to be challenge with real world economics and events and not classify learning as memorizing something out of a book.
