The LEGO Group, a popular company based in Billund, Denmark, has been in the toy industry for over 80 years. The company was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen and was passed down for generations to its recent owner, Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen. The word 'lego' is originated from a Danish word 'Leg Godt', which in other words also means 'play well'. Lego toys are popular among kids, teenagers and even adults. Their products are sold all around the world such as Australia, Singapore and Korea. Their net profit have been steadily increasing from 2009 to 2013, from $2.2 billion to $6.1 billion, which signifies their growth over the years.
Apart from being a successful growing company, The LEGO Group is also continuously trying to reduce its impact on the environment. Expansion in a company means that there will be an increase in production.
