The Cougar’s Den would be a bar and grill type of establishment located on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Its mission is to provide and fun and safe environment for students and faculty to enjoys drinks and/or appetizers on campus after a long day of class. With having this on campus students of the legal drinking age that live on campus won’t have to drink and drive.
Things that still need to be investigated are laws and rules preventing the sale of alcoholic beverages on a college campus. All this should be available upon request at the Madison county court house. The real prevention here would be from SIUE’s board preventing the sale, but with a petition would hopefully change their mind if there was a veto. The
