Stella's Short Story: A Streetcar Named Desire

Morning arose and Stella was ready to face the day 's challenges. Like old times she was in the café at 6:00 A.M... Hoping to breathe some life to the café who would in turn stir the emotions of those who lived in the building. She did more cleaning and even took apart to polish the old industrial single cup espresso machine, “La Pavoni Europiccola,” or like she referred to it, “the Family Inheritance,” one of the few things Mima and Pipo brought from Italy when they emigrated. So many espressos had been made on that machine over its life. It gave Espresso a bolder taste since it was not made of plastic parts. Stella was of the opinion people today did not know what real coffee tasted like. In its time this machine kept the clients marching …show more content…
Then the tables turned after Luna’s hasty decision to date Frank, who offered nothing to gain and inevitably everything to lose. It was Consuelo then who felt disapproval towards Luna when the casual jokes regarded Luna spending the rest of her life with Mauricio. Still thinking there was hope to fix the drama Stella decided it was time her and Sol needed to intervene knowing well Mauricio 's mother would not be happy even if Mauricio would be. She focused all her thoughts on this until about 7:30 A.M. Then decided it was time to go to Luna 's apartment to check on her. Mauricio removed his covers, he was wearing shorts “I did not want to leave Luna alone. She said she was dizzy when I brought her back so I made my spot on her couch. In case she needed something at night."
Sol thanked him while still squinting her eyes, "I appreciate you looking after Luna. I apologize I did not stay here last night, but with all the stress I have been under and that couch that threw out my back at the hospital, I needed my medicines and my bed. Today, I am a new woman!" She proclaimed.
The shirtless Mauricio stood up and said, "Now that you ladies are here, I am going to leave to my apartment and get dressed. I need to be at work by 10:30 AM. The boss does not know yet, today is a big day for him. I am resigning!"
The ladies not knowing were to focus their vision, saw the shirtless Mauricio who was calendar worthy and stayed mum for a moment. Stella ended the awkward session thinking Luna should take a good look at him, "Please don 't go yet, let us see if she needs help getting out of bed." Stella made her way to Luna’s room and stood next to Sol. Mauricio stood behind looking over them

In the first three scenes of "A Streetcar Named Desire," Blanche DuBois is presented as the typical southern belle in opposition to the modern world. We see her frailty contrasted with New Orleans' rough, vibrant French quarter and the way in which the modern world appears to confuse her. The affection she displays for her sister seems both genuine and warm.…

The woman sat in bed, pouting, her arms crossed over her naked bosom. “Get the fuck out of my bed, will you?” bellowed Perceval, nearly apoplectic with rage, as he yanked up his trousers and slipped his feet into his boots.…

Once upon a time, there was a small, seaside town, along the coast of the vast Pacific Ocean, called Arcadia, and in that small seaside town, there lived a girl named Parker Garcia, who, with the help of some friends and maybe just a little magic, started a revolution that brought love and acceptance to the small town. The small town of Arcadia over looked the pacific ocean from a glorious cliff side that was carved with one of the only freeways in the town. Almost every morning the citizens of Arcadia were awoken at an early hour by the sound of a motor bike ripping along the freeway. Now most people didn’t mind the noise so much as they minded the rider. Parker Garcia was the town’s resident rebel and disliked by a fair few in Arcadia, especially…

Depending upon how we’re brought up, we are either deeply aware of the particular reading of reality into which we are born, or we are peripherally aware of it”(Chaim Potok). The definition of a relationship between man and women has adjusted with our ever changing society, while some people are able to adapt with societies modifications, others are too intune with the ideals they grew up with. In Tennessee Williams’ play, A Streetcar…
