As I began this video, I saw a number of things I would need to think about to be able to interpret this video to the best of my abilities. First off, my receptive skills need work. As the woman in the video signed, I found it difficult to read her fingerspelling. Also, another thing I noticed was that she altered her pace frequently while signing, causing me to think I would have a problem keeping up with her as she changed pace. Along with not being focused on the signer, the signer was wearing light colors and stand in front of the light-colored wall. Making it difficult again to see the signs being signed. Another point is that her fingerspelling was incredibly fast, and my receptive need a lot of work. Along with the wall behind the signer being light colored, there are windows and a picture also seen by the camera, at one point in the video a car or something moves outside the windows of the room. Even though is not a big deal, I am ADD and this caused me to be distracted by the movement in the picture reflection. Another problem that I saw was that the woman pauses a lot in this video, it is like she is trying to gather her thoughts or sometimes she repeated sentences. I would find this difficult as an interpreter to keep up with what she was trying to say. Another factor to consider is this woman could be using signs used by the Deaf Native Americans long along, and this would be difficult to voice because I wouldn’t have the knowledge to know those
