The seventy-five-year-old Carole King started writing songs when she was only seventeen years old. The first song she wrote was “Will you love me tomorrow” which was her first number one hit. One of King’s songs “It might as well rain until September” made the Top 25 in the U.S. The solo artist won four GRAMMYS awards and no.1 in female artist in the year 1971. Sixteen years later she was recognized and awarded a place in the Hall of Fame. The BMI Icon award was also presented to King in 2012. Then only two years later Broadway opened a show, about her life story the called Beautiful: The Carole King which opened on January 12. She was also awarded from the Kennedy Center Honors in 2015, her group performed for Barak Obama.With King’s late husband she composed “Take Good Care of my Baby”, The Loco-Motion, Up on the Roof, Hey Girl, I’m Onto Something Good, Just Once in my life and Don’t Bring Me Down. At the age of four is when she started playing the piano which she used during her career with her voice. She replied to that question by saying that she did not picture herself as a woman in a man’s world. King did not let the fact that she was a woman slow her down during her songwriting and performing. She worked very hard toward her career even and did not let her failures keep her down. She did consider she was given extraordinary talent and worked hard to perfect it. She said that one of the best compliments she was given was that she is a very down to earth person. During her career of music, Carole King had over 100 hits.
