The full-time position requires the clinical psychologist to act as part of the patient care team and identify psychological, emotional, and behavioral issues. They are then required to diagnose disorders, and build strong rapport with clients in order to make accurate assessments of their problems. Along with working with the patient, one must collaborate with a care team, other clinicians, counselors, and nurses to develop and manage care plans of patients. One must also be able to evaluate treatment plans and patient progress and keep detailed records of each patient during their course of treatment. I feel that an interview at Cottage Hospital would be very thorough.
