I would set meetings for people to talk to a nutritionist about their diet goals. Foods that they should take into consideration are beans, low-fat or fat-free dairy products, lean meats, and fish as part of their healthy lifestyle diet. In addition, it 's best to avoid salt and sugar and certain fats such as saturated and trans fat. To prevent cholesterol, some healthy fats are avocado, nuts, olives/olive oil, etc. Following a heart-healthy diet means eating five to ten servings a day of fruits and vegetables which improves diabetes, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. I would suggest counseling with each individual in person and identify their needs, goals, and any weaknesses that need encouragement to become stronger. My program 's strengths are counseling approaches with each individual to understand them more on a personal level, including group sessions for more opinions and experiences about their health disease. The weaknesses are to have prices decrease for healthy foods to make it affordable for most people that often buy cheaper unhealthy foods. It 's hard to keep track of what those participants eat at home even when they have nutritionists, the only way for their health to improve is if they follow through with the diet plan.
