However, when Paris asks for Lord Capulet’s consent to marry Juliet, Capulet says to wait until Juliet is older and she must somewhat like Paris first. This demonstrates that Lord Capulet cares about Juliet’s well-being. He wants Juliet to marry earlier now that Tybalt is dead to take her mind off of the death of her cousin, thinking that a big wedding would make her and all of the other Capulets happier. I understand that there is a big misunderstanding and that Lord Capulet thinks that Juliet is being extremely ungrateful about his decision, but I don’t think it’s okay to talk to your child that way and Lord Capulet should apologize. Also, although I don’t think that Lady Capulet would approve of Romeo, she should be able to accept their marriage because they are already married.…

Capulet should have taken Juliet’s feelings into consent and discussed his decision with her before permitting the marriage with Paris. When Paris arrived at Capulet’s house and asked Capulet to allow him to marry Juliet, Capulet accepted his request immediately saying, “Sir Paris, I will make a desperate tender of my child’s love. I think she will be ruled in all respects by me. Nay, more, I doubt it not” (III.iv.13-15). Instead of agreeing to Paris’ request, Capulet should have consulted Juliet for her opinion on the marriage.…

Juliet pays a visit to the Friar, who comes up with a plan for Juliet to fake her death with a sleeping poison. When Juliet asks the Friar to help her break free from her wedding with Paris, he replies that: "If, rather than to marry County Paris, Thou hast the strength of will to slay thyself; Then it is likely thou wilt undertake A thing like death to elude away this shame, That cop'st with death himself to scrape from it; And, if thou darest, I'll give thee remedy." (Shakespeare 71-76) This is the second time that the Friar acts impulsively and agrees to give Juliet this illegal poison.…

This is the most important of this play because some people are judging a book by its cover. Cyrano is a poet, swordsman and smart but he is really ugly outside. Opposite from Cyrano, Christian is really pretty, handsome but unintelligent and dull inside. They both love to the same woman called Roxane and become a rival.…

In Act 3, Scene 2 of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Juliet’s reaction to the death of Mercutio and Tybalt and the banishment of her new husband Romeo shows that Juliet is defensive and passionate towards her spouse. When the Nurse speaks ill of Romeo’s banishment, Juliet defends him. Most people’s outlook on Romeo changes once he murders her cousin, Tybalt. Instead of being ashamed of Romeo, she concludes that if her cousin was not killed, her husband would have been killed instead. She believes that his actions are justified, while her cousin is the one at fault.…

Not to mention, Lady capulet's abhor towards the montagues throughout the whole entire play. If lady montague and lord capulet were in a relationship and lady montague left to be with montague, it would make sense that Lady capulet would hate the montagues. If lady montague stayed in the relationship with Capulet, lady capulet would never be in an arranged marriage with lord capulet. The montagues adore Romeo and wouldn’t want anything bad happening to him, but notice how Lady capulet tries to persuade the Prince to kill one of the montagues “ Prince, as thou art true,For blood of ours shed blood of Montague. ”(3.1.…

However, in order to help Juliet through her "grief" over Tybalt's death, Capulet decides to marry her off to Paris (III, iv). Of course this is a problem as she is secretly married to Romeo at this time. In III, v, Lady Capulet states, "I'll send one in Mantua, where that same banished runagate doth live, that he shall soon keep Tybalt company…" (ll94-96). This statement prophesizes Romeo's death later in the final scene of the play. Then, Lady Capulet wishes her daughter to be married to her grave (ll. 145), which is ironic, as Juliet will take a potion causing her to appear dead in IV, ii. That same evening, the lovers consummate their marriage, and in the morning, Juliet makes yet another prophesy, "O God, I have an ill-divining soul!…

Imagine being a man who was seen as someone as holy and influential as the church, and then turning your back on your beliefs to help two young lovers betray their families. This is the trial and tribulation that Friar Laurence went through after realizing his plan of getting the young Montague and Capulet together resulted in their deaths. Although Friar thought he was being helpful and caring, he was ultimately the man responsible for the deaths of Sir Romeo Montague and Lady Juliet Capulet. My first piece of evidence to prove Friar Laurence guilty is a diary entry he wrote a couple days after the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.…
