A sculpture that tends to stick out to me is Capture of the Sabine Women by Giambologna. This particular sculpture is classified as sculpture in the round. It requires the viewer to walk around it to view its entirety. This beautiful work of art was hand carved by the artist, Giambologna. I think, by making the sculpture in the round, it makes the viewer really look closely at the whole sculpture, instead of just glancing at it. The artist shows great precision and expertise by making all three figures in the sculpture connect with one another. In doing that, it provides a more realistic sense to the piece. To me, it is obvious that the artist wanted to show off his unique skill in creating this sculpture. The horror in the face of the woman
