Can News Reporters Be Fully Clearly Trusted?

21st century is known to be the start of new beginnings. It was that generation where machineries evolve the economics and social life of the human beings: from traveling to one place to another, a click of a button for communication, and to sending news to the residents of the world. But, as the year progress the mortals abused the capability of these machines. One of the problems is how they report news and how they edit stuff to create news and spread rumors. Can news reporters be fully trusted? The history of journalism is when the development of transmitting news change dramatically. The first newspaper was published in 17th century, then entering 18th century was magazines, following it with television and radio on 20th century and in late 20th century Internet was introduced. American journalism was first introduced in Boston in the year 1690, through the publication, “Publick Occurrences, Both Foreign and Domestick,” where it drew a lot of criticism about the government during the colonial times. Journalism was first used in the states for a key support to the political element. But, as the decade change, information put on the paper also change from politics, economics, to gossip and scandals of celebrities whether it be their private and public life. On top of that, having possession of this news gradually transform from the handwritten newspaper, typed information on the news delivering houses to houses, to the home net where news are uploaded online to be easily access by the numerous readers of the certain publication. Journalist, writers, columnist reporter, newsman and newswoman they all have one goal and that is to put the news in the front for the grabbers to reach and put in opinions of their own. They put news that the public has an interest on and if the general population is on the concern. What traits should a writer have to achieve the target they were aiming for the publication to be out on public? What should they consider a factual material when writing or reading an article? One of the web page that I stumbled upon, “The news manual: A professional resource for journalist and the media,” noted that to be exceptionally excellent journalist it should have a fast, fair, and accurate information about the topic they release and spread across the world. Before putting the news on the market, columnist or the writer need objectivity and impartiality. Objectivity meaning not being a bias and publish it as a subject with different facts collected with different sources. Impartiality is where fair judgment with a two opposing sides to balance out the subject must be visible. And, one of the quickest ways to publicize any report or a story the readers may gain the information. Can anyone compose a report and be put on a mass communication? Can news reporters be fully trusted? Mass communication is how individuals add information through the media at the same time. Anyone can be a reporter with the news on the net everyone can spread it easily. To the home net where news are uploaded online, bloggers or individual itself have an easy access to internet may share, blog and tweet the news where they add more words that can lead a greater argument. Trusting news reporters on a televise report are the usual reaction for the spectators. They don’t publish news for their own beneficial and for self-interested reasons. Where as, online journalism is where bloggers use harmful languages and use an unfair and bias judgments. Bloggers doesn’t explore the whole scenario because they only read the news from different sources online and make the assumption to the situation. Bloggers doesn’t habitually conform to rules for them to consider it as against their freedom of speech.
