In this book, there is a character named Calpurnia and a Character named Aunt Alexandra. Not to mention these two women try to be Very strong mother figures to these two children named Jem and Scout. Furthermore in my opinion I strongly think that Calpurnia is a better mother figure for Jem and Scout. Also Calpurnia has taught them in there lifetime what consequences are how they should be treated for their actions. In which every mother would do to discipline her children. Calpurnia is and African American women that have worked and took care of their family ever since Jem and Scout were young kids.
